MEWPs for Managers training course

The course on offer is designed for managers who need to instruct a workforce with knowledge of safety procedures and the effective use of MEWPs while on site.  The coursework includes planning the job at hand, conducting a risk assessment, selecting the right equipment for optimum cost-efficiency and mitigating all possible risks.
The course is conducted online and can be accessed via any laptop, PCs and tablet.  It’s constructed in English and would take around six to eight hours to complete although it is divided into manageable sections which allow the user access at different times and the flexibility to complete at your own pace and time.

Course Objectives

The IPAF MEWPs for Managers course is a must for site supervisors or planners working at height. The course covers the following topics:
  • Selection of the correct platforms
  • Regulations associated with working at height
  • Emergency procedures
  • Equipment maintenance and pre-use checks
  • Practical demonstrations are also included if machines are available

Certification

All trainees will receive the MEWP for managers qualification, and an IPAF Certificate of Training once the course was completed. The certificates will be issued electronically via the IPAF ePAL app which is available on Android and iOS smartphones.  That includes a logbook and a further safety information pack.

To Whom the Course is designed?

Employers, project managers, foremen and supervisors working in a broad range of industries such as construction, facilities management, retail, airports and arboriculture or any other sector that require working at heights.  It’s a requirement that a person in authority on site who direct employees while using MEWP and oversee the work needs to be trained in the logistics of the operation.
